PROJECT 50
Hola Amigos!
You may have notice there’s been a lack of activity on our part, but I assure we’ve been staying busy. Case in point: Project 50.
“The first 20 years of the medical cannabis movement (1976-1996) occurred before the internet. As a result, many important documents and stories of our brave pioneers are in danger of being lost.
The goal of Project 50 is to digitize as much of this early information as possible before 2026, which will mark the 50th anniversary of Robert C. Randall’s 1976 successful court case and petition to procure legal cannabis.
Robert’s widow, Alice O’Leary Randall, is heading up Project 50. ‘Too many people think it all began with Prop 215 but there were 20 years of sweat and tears that set the stage for the modern cannabis industry.’ Alice says. ‘I’m determined to preserve the record of these truly heroic medical cannabis pioneers.’”
We are looking forward to sharing with you some of the amazing history that has been preserved by Alice for the movement at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Promise there is going to be PLENTY to talk about in the coming weeks, and months.
Hasta Pronto =)
