🔥THE RESEARCH MYTH: A GONZO EXORCISM

WE ARE THE STUDY

A Veterans’ Indictment of the Federal Cannabis Cover-Up

By Kit | Burn Slow Doctrine Division, International Veterans Leadership Committee (IVLC)

🧨 OPENING SALVO

They say:

“We need more research.”

What they mean:

“We already know the truth. We just won’t admit it.”

Let’s get one thing straight:
The U.S. government has been sitting on mountains of cannabis data since disco was king and napalm was still in Pentagon field tests.

They’ve had the science.
They’ve had the patients.
They’ve had the proof.

And they buried it—like a war crime with a budget line.

🎓 THE STUDIES THEY DON’T MENTION

  • 1974 – Virginia Medical College: THC slowed lung cancer in mice.
    DEA response: Cut the funding.

  • 1976 – Compassionate IND Program: Federal government distributed cannabis to glaucoma and AIDS patients—while claiming it had “no medical value.”

  • 1988 – DEA Judge Francis L. Young:

“Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man.”
DEA response: Ignore the ruling. Keep it Schedule I.

  • 1999 – Institute of Medicine:

“Scientific data indicate the potential therapeutic value of cannabinoid drugs... for pain, nausea, and appetite.”
    Congress: Buried in committee.

  • 2001 – U.S. Patent #6630507 (filed by HHS):
Cannabinoids identified as neuroprotectants and anti-inflammatories.
Reality: Uncle Sam patented the plant—while locking up the people who used it.

🧬 AGENCIES WITH BLOOD ON THEIR BADGES

  • NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse):
Monopoly grower of low-potency ditchweed. Controlled supply to ensure poor research outcomes.

  • FDA (Food and Drug Administration):
Greenlit the IND program—then slammed the door when too many AIDS patients applied. Compassion became a liability.

  • DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration):
Gatekeepers of Schedule I. Every time rescheduling was recommended, they moved the goalposts or delayed the process.

📉 THE LOOP OF LIES

  1. Cannabis is Schedule I.

  2. So researchers can’t access real product.

  3. So research is “inconclusive.”

  4. So cannabis stays Schedule I.

  5. So patients stay criminalized.

  6. So the government says, “We need more research.”

Rinse. Repeat. Gaslight. Incarcerate.

🚨 THE VA KNOWS

The Veterans Health Administration has tracked cannabis use in veterans for decades. They’ve studied it.
They’ve seen the benefits. And yet:

  • They bury reports.

  • They withhold data.

  • They deny access.

All while pushing pills that kill.

The VA doesn’t lack information. It lacks the courage to contradict federal drug policy.

⚔️ THE REAL REASON

They don’t need more research.
They need more control.

Because the moment cannabis is acknowledged as medicine:

  • Pharma loses its monopoly.

  • Law enforcement loses its pretext.

  • Veterans gain autonomy.

  • And the government has to admit it’s been lying for fifty years.

🩸 THIS ISN’T POLICY—IT’S COVER-UP BY DESIGN

So next time a politician or bureaucrat parrots, “We support research,” hand them this truth:

You’ve had the research.
You’ve had the receipts.
You’ve had the dead bodies.

You just buried them to protect the lie.

We’re not asking for permission.
We’re not waiting for peer review.
We are the study.
And we’ve already survived the trial.

⚠️ WHY THIS MATTERS RIGHT NOW

🩸 Veterans Are Dying

We’re overdosing on benzos, opioids, and antipsychotics. Meanwhile, cannabis—a safer, proven alternative—is locked behind cowardice and bureaucratic inertia.

⚖️ The System Still Lies in Court

People are still being prosecuted based on the lie that cannabis has “no accepted medical use.” While the feds hold a patent for its medical use.

🧬 The Research Exists

The data is there. It’s just hidden, ignored, or discredited by the very agencies that suppressed it in the first place.

💰 This Is About Power—Not Safety

Schedule I status sustains industries:

  • Big Pharma profits.

  • Police justify budgets.

  • Prosecutors boost stats.

  • Prisons fill beds.

🗣️ Narrative Is Policy

If we don’t dismantle this lie publicly and repeatedly, it will continue shaping law, funding, and public perception.

🇺🇸 WHY UNCLE SAM OWES VETERANS ACCESS NOW

1. We Were the Test Subjects

The DoD and VA ran cannabis studies on veterans. When results showed it helped, they buried the files.

We gave you the data. You gave us silence.

2. The Feds Already Distributed It

From 1976 to 1992, the U.S. government mailed joints to patients. Veterans applied. Most were denied.

You mailed medicine with one hand and scheduled it with the other.

3. The Alternatives You Gave Us Are Killing Us

VA meds—opioids, benzos, antipsychotics—caused addiction, overdose, and death.

Cannabis is safer. The VA knows. The data proves it.

4. The Research Is Already Done

Every major study—from 1974 to 2001—confirms therapeutic value. Patent #6630507 proves it.

Saying “not enough research” isn’t caution. It’s a cover-up.

5. You Sent Us to War—Then Withheld the Tools to Heal

We brought home trauma. You told us to take pills and shut up.

We served. You broke us. Now you block the plant that works.

6. The Constitution Doesn’t Expire After Enlistment

Veterans are citizens. We earned healthcare—including autonomy in how we heal.

Don’t thank us for our service while criminalizing our recovery.

🧠 WHAT IGNORING THIS MEANS

1. It’s State-Sanctioned Harm

When a government withholds known medicine from people who need it, that’s not oversight. That’s cruelty.

2. It’s Psychological Warfare

To gaslight patients while sitting on supportive data is emotional abuse at scale.

Imagine treating yourself with a plant and being told you’re the criminal—while your government holds the patent.

3. It’s Betrayal in Uniform

The government didn’t just ignore the truth. It suppressed it, classified it, and profited from its absence.

4. It’s Incarceration as Industry

The Schedule I fraud keeps jails full, police funded, and pain criminalized.

“Not enough research” became the polite mask of a brutal machine.

5. It’s Willful Harm

This isn’t ignorance. This is knowing better—and choosing not to act.

That’s not policy failure. That’s state violence by design.

⚖️ LEGAL PARALLELS

If a doctor ignored known treatment and let a patient suffer—that’s malpractice.

When the government does it to millions?

Depraved indifference.
Deliberate negligence.
Willful harm.

When a system does it, they call it "policy."

We call it what it is: a crime with uniforms.

🔥 FINAL WORD

Willful harm is when those in power know the truth—
and choose to let people die anyway.

They knew.
They still know.
And they’re still lying.

We are not asking for clinical trials.
We are the survivors of one.

We are not asking for slow reforms.
We are demanding full reckoning.

This is not a policy debate.
This is a cover-up with casualties.
And it ends when we say it does.

Let’s move.
